World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. They also boost extra bonuses such as PvE damage and crit chance.
If the template for upgrading a weapon ends in %, it will gain 3% of its previous damage every time it's upgraded.
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost rises with item's level.
Components
Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, armor, and weapons in order to give them a boost in stats or to add an additional effect. They can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors, trading or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by specific cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components are only available to devices that have slots. The item must be at least upgraded to blue before the component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a specific kind of upgrade component that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment as well as the non-ascended back items. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging gear that is ascended or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.
A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it is used on (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions of the item using the smallest amount of Upgrade crystals than they would need to reach the same level with normal methods.
A 'boost upgrade' can modify the attack or defense properties of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades can be made from the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them in the cash shop or by collecting them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.
Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of the item will be dropped in the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their equipment even if they are unsure what will be improved following a reset.
Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process could be expensive, and there is a substantial risk that the item may be obsolete or even break when it fails. A failure to upgrade can cause the destruction of the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the chance of failure. Certain upgrades also provide a bonus if they are reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to improve the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs increase the effectiveness of all nodes in their radius as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded a variety of ways, and we suggest upgrading them to 15 levels as soon as possible.
You'll often see in the endgame that placing Glyphs is the most effective way to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and offer significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes faster.
Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and replaced with no restrictions are the most popular. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and re-placed by using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.
Each Glyph has a specific range of values can enhance a stat by. The value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with an Glyph that is the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.
Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs then you have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus which will boost a specific set of stat nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.
Glyphs boost all nodes that are connected to them, which is why it is best to put Glyphs in strategic locations on the Graph. This will increase the impact. Druids, for example should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might be able to place them near their most critical damage nodes.
Leveling
The item upgrade system allows players to boost the effectiveness of certain items by introducing upgraded components. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level which determines the final statistics. Upgraded items are able to be leveled until they reach a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each level of item requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.
Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab in crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to the upgrading of an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be eligible to claim the upgrade and get its extra bonuses.
When the player upgrades an item to a higher level, the original item is replaced by a new item of the same type. This means that the same armor piece will get a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will have its own set bonus. This can be a disadvantage in that it could cause the item to become more expensive if you do not require it.
If the player has enough tokens, they can reroll item upgrades. The item will be replaced by an entirely new item that is based on a level 1 base and totally different bonuses. This can be beneficial, but shouldn't be done often as it can waste resources.
upgrade item can boost their value and allow players to personalize their gear. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or is able to swim like a dolphin). The item can be upgraded multiple times and increases the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is extremely valuable in PvP, as the best version of it can be worth between 20 and 50 times its value without being upgraded.
Requirements
The item upgrader lets players increase the level of their equippable equipment (armor weapons, armor trinkets, and armor) above ilvl385 by presenting the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase the defense base of the item, and upgrading weapon equipment will increase the damage base as well as the required strength and dexterity to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

All items are upgradeable up to five times, with the exception for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Every when you upgrade an item it is given a chance to fail--the rate of failure increases as you exceed the maximum number of upgrades. Failures can cause the item to return to its initial state, which requires the player to pay for more resources than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number.
If an item is not upgraded the experience bar on its growth bar will reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it has gained like the chance to crit attack damage, other effects (such as a higher healing rate over time or the speed of reloading). The player is able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.
If an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest. This means that, if a weapon gains an increase in its crit chance the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand new attribute that was added to the definitions of items. The value is recalculated each time an upgrade occurs.
The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For example, a common equipment item might have 5 upgrades with a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero quality items will have a much lower cost for each additional upgrade.
Premium items could have different upgrade requirements than regular gear. For example, they may need less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. Players will still have to bring each piece of gear they wish to upgrade to NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each upgrade requires a different amount of the ingredients for upgrading.
